Children’s books about God
Allow me to brag a little bit. My daughter Marli is illustrating a series of 10 books for Dr. William Lane Craig. I have been a big fan of Dr. Craig’s work for almost 20 years. He is one of the world’s foremost Christian Apologists. Up until now, his work has been focused on intellectual arguments for God’s existence and the rationality of Christianity. But he is interested in relaying the truths of Christianity to children as well. These books teach young children about the character and nature of God. The teaching takes place in the home of an unusual family. A family of a father bear and a mother goose and their children. Marli has been working on illustrating these books for the last 10 months. It is wonderful to see them on the market. The first two books are available from Amazon today and the rest are forthcoming. The first book is called “God is Spirit.” You can pick it up here.
The second book is “God is Everywhere” and deals with God’s omnipresence in a way that kids can understand. You can buy it here.

Modern Day Slavery
My daughter Marli and I recently gave a message at my home church about the evil of modern day slavery. Right now in the world, over 27 million people are in bondage against their will. It is an over $30 billion a year industry. There is a lot that we can do to fight this horrific evil. Americans apparently account for about one third of this money. Much of the money we Americans spend on this problem is in the area of Internet pornography. Bringing awareness to the fact that lots of the pornography on the Internet has links to sexual slavery can wake people up. Additionally, supporting groups like International Justice Mission and websites like www.love146.org can bring legislation and support for this practically unknown issue.

About
Matt was born and raised in Carlsbad, Calif. Although he grew up in a devout Christian home, he struggled and rebelled against the Lord as a teenager. However, at eighteen, Matt gave in to God’s love and submitted to Jesus. Soon after, he met and married his wife Kelli. They now have six children and love the role that God has given them as parents.
In 1998, Matt graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Ministry and Leadership. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Westminster Seminary, California. For the last eighteen years, he has worked for a variety of Christian ministries including Horizon Christian Fellowship, the Christian Research Institute, and Carlsbad Community Church.
In 2005, the Lord called Matt to plant Rancho del Rey Christian Church in Carlsbad, California. Matt’s heart desire is to help people see Jesus in all his glory. He and his wife are passionate about parenting, adoption, The Bible, missions, discipleship and helping people see Jesus in every aspect of life. His life’s calling is to present the Jesus of the Bible to people who don’t yet believe, and to encourage fellow Christ-followers to live in complete, life-altering obedience to God.
